Learning something new can come with fear.

When wanting to learn about the stock market, there can be fear of opening an account, fear of purchasing a course and it not working out, or fear of trading and losing money.

In order to be a successful trader, you need to learn how to manage fear.

How to look at money and fear

When I first started trading in the stock market, I wasn't afraid of losing money.

I was afraid of what would happen if I didn't learn how to invest.

At the time, I didn't like my job and wanted a better future for my future family.

When you think about money...

Money is just a result of providing value.

You go to work, you provide value, you get money at the end of 2 weeks.

The stock market:

Money is the result of learning a valuable skill.

If that's the case, then it makes more sense to be afraid - not of losing money - but of not being able to provide value.

To me, I am afraid of not being a person of value.

I get excited to teach people about the stock market and provide value to their lives because the moment I stop doing that, they don't want to interact with me anymore and they shouldn't. But the more value I can provide, the more I can help and the more people want to work with me.

You should be afraid of losing the things that help you provide value.

I am very protective of my eyes because I need them to scan stock charts. This is a tool I need to provide value.

I don't need to be afraid of losing money because I provide value to the market place and I have a valuable skill I can use, which is trading in the stock market.

So what are you really afraid of?

Are you afraid of spending money for a course, program, a coach?

But why?

I spent $4k on a program back in the day that was in-person. I thought "What if it doesn't work?"

But then I changed my mindset to "But what if it does work?"

Because at the time:

Did I like where I was at financially? No.

Did I like my earning potential at the time? No.

If I didn't learn a new skill, I didn't like where I was going.

I feared not getting started and what would happen if I let just money get in the way of making millions.

If you want to be a millionaire or change the trajectory of your finances, what are you willing to do?

Is it too much risk to spend a few hundred or thousands of dollars in order to learn a valuable skill that could change your future?

That's the mindset I was afraid of. I didn't want to be stuck in a broke mindset.

The message is simple:

What are you really afraid of?

Write your dreams down, what you need to achieve them, and the price that you will have to pay to get there.

Whether it be time, money, etc.

The key is:

Map out your goals and what you will need to get there.

It will cost time or money, but overcome the fear of what could happen.

Instead, let the fear of staying where you are at motivate you.
