In this episode of the 5 Year Millionaire Podcast, I explained how the stock market can really stretch your mindset and allow you to see that you are capable of reaching dreams you never thought were possible.

I start out with the quote: "The mind is like a rubber band. When it is stretched, it can never go back to its original state." This is something I really resonate with because it resembles my journey so far in the stock market. 

When I first started out investing, as a 21 year old college student who already took a loss after trying to invest $2000 elsewhere, I never would have thought that the stock market would get me to where I am today. It definitely wasn't because I didn't believe I could do it, but it was because my mind didn't even know that was a thing I could do. After watching the stock market take my $10,000 student loan and triple it to where I started, it only opened my mind up to what else was possible.

I have quite a few eye-opening moments throughout my journey, and each time it only expanded my mind further to what else I can use the stock market for. If it wasn't for me realizing I can use the money I get from the stock market and put it towards things I didn't think where possible, I wouldn't be where I am at today: like buying a Lexus, my first home, my second home on the lake, paying off my 30 year mortgage in 2.5 years, buying a Ferrari, etc. 

I don't say all this to brag and say I got lucky with the stock market. I share my story so that other people can realize that it's not a game of luck. It's about knowing what you are doing and using the right strategies so that you can have these pivotal, eye-opening events too.
