Why do we do what we do?
Why do YOU do what you do?
In Episode 2 of our new live series "Money Mondays" on YouTube, we answered these very questions.
It is so important to understand the WHY behind your goals:
Why do you want to learn about finances?
Is it because of your family? Wanting to leave a legacy? A less tight-fisted life?
Cat Alford, a financial educator, and I shared our "whys" and hopefully inspired you to think about yours.

"Personal Freedom"
Cat Alford started of with sharing her "why", or motivation for teaching about financial literacy, with two words:
"Personal freedom".
She expounded: "For me, it's being able to wake up every day and decide how my days goes, and not someone tell me what to do.... it takes a lot of self-discipline... But the more you have, the more you are able to give of yourself and to your family."
And I totally agree!
Money can dictate where you work, what kind of job you have, where you shop... so many things.
So when you are able to have a little more, it eases up your freedom of choice.
"Legacy"
Why do I go in the financial education space?
For you ... I have one word:
"LEGACY".
I came from a background that had a lot of love, but not a lot financially.
Money was the missing piece.
And I definitely want to pass on that love to my family and to my kids...
But I also want to build something that lasts, even far after I am gone.
It only took one Bill Gates, one Rockerfeller... just ONE person in the family to change their family's legacy forever.
I want to draw a line in the sand and say "financial illiteracy ends here".
I want generations to come from my family to see the steps I took to change our financial future.
And now that brings it to you...
WHY do you want to learn about financial education? About the stock market? About investing?
Think about your top 3 reasons and then let me know...
