Trader Talk: Live Replay
I wanted to give an update to how my journey to 1 Million Dollars in 2018 is going. I went live in YouTube and Facebook, here is the replay:
My goal: make 1 Million Dollars in profit in the stock market in 1 year. I started in January, 2018. So we are now about halfway in the year… and here’s the update with my goal and with what is going on in the market.
The ULTIMATE GOAL is to have your money work for you. So while I may have a specific number in mind… that is the true and ultimate goal. I want to see you succeed in this industry.
CURRENT GAIN: $382,562.47
*note: this is not actually 24.89%, they are taking TOTAL proceeds and cost, which adds up every time I buy something and that is the total number spent. In actuality, I may have spent the same amount money gained from another trade.
It isn’t bad, but we aren’t on pace. The goal was nearly $100,000 a month. Since we just ended month six, it technically should be about $600K. But reality is: we still have 6 more full months to go.
I did take a major loss in COST and CBOE. It’s not always rainbows and sunshine, it is statistics. It is in the business of being net positive.
We want to be right more times than we are wrong: and we definitely are. If anyone ever says they are NEVER wrong, I would question that person.
But we see our BIG gains to calculate up to profit…
Something that I also want you to pay attention to is that we made a few profitable PUT OPTIONS. Which means I put money up when the stock was falling, and in SJM and A I made about a 20% return each.
I bring these trades up because most people can’t make money when the market is going up – but these we made even when the market was going down.
I had a great job, made six figures a year. And that was incredible to make that. But there is nothing like being able to make nearly 4 years worth of that similar salary from home in six months. And this is my money working for me, I didn’t have to physically get up and go to work. Of course I still work, I still have a business that teaches people how to trade. I like having to work in another capacity.
What would you do if you could get ahead in the game alongside your salary? I just bought 4 years of my life back. So I could not even trade for 4 years and still have enough to live on, let alone my other business.
There is power in learning how to do this: how do guys generate 4 years of income in just 6 months without physically working? We are still researching, but not physically clocking in.
