On this podcast episode, I am so excited to formally introduce Coach Wade Sutton.

If you're a Power Trades University member, you may have already seen Coach Sutton answering questions in the forums and on our Monday night Group Coaching sessions.

We wanted to take some time to share how Coach Sutton and I met, his background, and discuss some trading philosophies we both share.

How Coach Sutton and I Met

Wade Sutton and I actually go way back - his dad was a coach in an investing program I took when I wanted to learn more about the market.

In this program, I paid extra to be able to attend the VIP lunch meetings with the coaches. So during one of these lunches, I was able to meet Wade, and I was so impressed that his dad brought him along to the sessions.

I also remember there was another member that brought his 13 year old son with him and I just saw this thinking, "this is how they do it." I was never taught anything about finances growing up, so seeing a father bring his son with him really stuck out to me.

We actually reconnected many years later when Coach Sutton was moving back to Michigan and needed to buy a home. Small world - his realtor ended up being my wife. While they were talking, Coach Sutton referenced call options, my wife asked him questions about trading after hearing me talk about it, and we were able to meet up and continue a friendship that has lasted the last decade.

Growing Up as a Trader

Coach Sutton grew up having financial literacy conversations at the dining room table. Coach Sutton's father had written a book and also did a book tour sharing his knowledge with whomever he could.

After Coach Sutton finished his undergrad degree and was working in banking, he realized he wanted to do what his father did and get into the educational side of the stock market.

Coach Sutton was able to work with his father and learn from him and his entrepreneur skills to build himself into the coach he wanted to be.

Leveling Up Power Trades University

When Coach Sutton and I sat down to talk about him coaching for Power Trades University... the ideas flowed and we knew this was the right step.

Not only is it amazing to work with a friend and someone you trust, but being able to work off each other and our trading philosophies has been awesome. Sometimes when you're trading and you don't have anyone in your circle to talk about these things with, you feel so alone.

Having Coach Sutton by my side not only benefits the members of Power Trades University, because you have another coach available to answer your questions, but it gives us more room to grow.

Coach Sutton may explain the same concept I am but in a different way and that way may click for you - and that's all we want. We want to see members succeed and learn the market and build our community.

Sharing Trading Philosophies

"Not all profitable trades are good trades, and not all losing trades are bad trades."

We know by now the market will move in one of three ways - up, down, or sideways. And we should be taking these movements into account when planning our trades - but we all have those moments when we feel we should have stayed in the trade longer to get more of the profit.

Or, the trade goes the opposite way and you lose money. But we can't beat ourselves up about losing money in a trade.

Did you follow your plan? Did you set an "I'm wrong" level and stick to it? We want to stick to our rules or our plan. If we do that and still lose money, you stuck to your plan and should be proud of it. Losing money is the cost of doing business in the market. So review the trade and make changes for the next one.
